About Erin Caracci and this blog
Here’s the scoop on us: Adam and I met on a blind date, fell in love, and started our life together in Atlanta, Georgia. From the parks and museums to the walking trails and quaint shops, Atlanta was the perfect backdrop for our love story. But after nearly ten years in the city, Adam was ready for a change of pace and a slower lifestyle as we prepared to settle down somewhere.
We moved to Adam’s hometown of Savannah, GA, in fall 2017 and started this blog to share our adventures with friends and family. During our time in Savannah, our family grew to include one son, William Harrington (or Liam!), who was stillborn on October 22, 2018. We miss our son every single day – nothing can describe the pain of losing a child.
Since Liam was born, we’ve started to share more about our experience with infant loss here on our blog in the hopes that it will help other parents who are grieving. We also created the Liam Caracci Foundation, a charity we founded to offer support to parents who experience stillbirth and infant loss. You can read more about our foundation at www.caraccifoundation.org
In 2020, while the world was entering lockdown, Adam and I were quietly working away at adopting our second son, Andrew. Andy came home in September 2020, and we finalized our adoption in April 2021. We feel so lucky to be Andrew’s parents – we love him more than anything! Adam and I are very dedicated to protecting Andrew’s privacy, so you won’t see many photos or films of him on our blog and social media. But we will definitely check in every now and then to let you know how he’s doing!
Thank you so much for following our family’s story! Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or you’re a new reader, we are happy to have you here!
